Visit the battle for the bridges to Arnhem

A day tour to the Battle of Arnhem

It was a bridge too far! Explore the historic sites of the Battle of Arnhem, a pivotal episode of World War II. Your journey will take you to key locations that tell the story of this life-changing event, such as the landing zones, the Oosterbeek Perimeter, and the iconic Arnhem Bridge. As you discover these historic sites, you'll have the opportunity to delve deeply into the significance of Operation Market Garden, a daring military strategy that ultimately failed. What went wrong, what mistakes were made, who or what was ultimately responsible for the failure, and what was the German side's story? And above all, what were the consequences for the further course of the war, the residents of Arnhem and the surrounding area, and the part of the Netherlands that was not liberated?

The German perspective

Many historians now argue that Operation Market Garden was not so much an Allied defeat as a German victory. During this tour, we will visit locations related to this operation and explore its stories, focusing on the German perspective of the battle.
